Charlestowne Hotels announced four new properties in development under the Origin Hotel umbrella. These four hotels join Origin Red Rocks (Colorado), Origin Westminster (Colorado), and Origin Lexington (Kentucky), which Charlestowne began overseeing within the last two years as part of its milestone deal with real estate development company, Thrash Group. The planned expansion will introduce Origin properties to Austin, Texas; Atlanta Georgia; Baton Rouge, Louisiana; and Kansas City, Missouri.

Hospitality Design (HD) magazine announced project and product winners during the 18th annual HD Awards ceremony. More than 525 people attended the sold-out event, which honored the year’s best and most innovative achievements in design from around the globe, held on Tuesday, June 7th at Cipriani South Street in New York. The breadth of the industry was showcased across more than 1,100 project and product submissions, our most ever to date.

With a property tax exemption in hand and final plans out for review, Thrash Group could break ground later this year on a five-story boutique hotel at the Berkley Riverfront. Amenities at the boutique Origin Kansas City hotel include a fitness center, full-service restaurant, bike library, and yoga spaces.

Blue Lacy serves all-day fare, from huevos rancheros and pancakes to salads and bowls to fried chicken plates and chicken and waffles kebabs. There are also desserts like pecan pie and shakes. The restaurant also serves coffee and cocktails, like a Harry Styles-named frozen drink, Watermelon Sugar High, made with tequila, watermelon puree, and frosé. The restaurant has a diner-style interior with courtyard seating.
